Successful reconstruction of the former Novkabel production hall led to, what is now a modern business premise with a carbon neutral footprint, that incorporates unique Schneider Electric solutions, powered from renewable sources. This will ensure work comfort and functionality.

The grand opening was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović, the Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Mihailo Jovanović, the French Ambassador to Serbia, Pierre Cochard, as well as numerous guests, company representatives, and prominent figures from the Serbian business and public spheres.

During the opening of the InGrid offices, a contract that will ensure the improvement of the distribution network in Serbia was signed. Schneider Electric will be a partner in the state project for the modernization and automation of the medium-voltage electricity distribution network in Serbia. The project will significantly enhance the reliability of electricity supply to end consumers and it will improve the efficiency of power delivery management, while reducing power outages for end consumers technical losses in the energy system.

Ms. Ivana Kovačević, head of the Department for Education, addressed the audience in front of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

The ten-day program involves 38 participants, mostly young entrepreneurs from various fields – information technology, marketing, economics, design, mining and geology, and others.

The focus of the ten-day intensive course will be the acquisition of the necessary skills and knowledge important for the development of entrepreneurship, and the participants will independently and in groups create and present their own business plans. It is designed in the form of workshops in the style of MBA programs, specially prepared in relation to the profile of the participants to enable them to successfully develop their business ideas.

The partners of the LEADER Project Serbia 2023 are Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Embassy of Canada in Serbia.

The Association of business women in Serbia presented the award “Success Flower” to the best women entrepreneurs in Serbia at the Opera & Theatre Madlenianum.

The best companies are also recognized, for applying socially responsible business strategies as well as principles of gender equality and providing the best model for the inclusion of women in supply chains, and are presented with the award – “Most Gender Sensitive CSR Model“.

This year, 3 awards for the most gender-sensitive company were awarded to Schneider Electric (1st place), Erste Bank AD (2nd), and Nestlé Adriatic d.o.o. (3rd).

We are proud to see that our valuable member Schneider Electric is being recognized for its efforts to put into effect goal 5 of the 17 Global Goals – Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. They include as many as 10 women in the supply chain. They support women in IT through many activities and also encourage girls to choose IT-related fields, among other things, through the years-long support of International Girls in ICT Day, marked by the Association of Business Women in Serbia for the past 12 years.

Cilj globalne borbe protiv klimatskih promena je jasan. Da se globalno zagrevanje ograniči na 1,5 stepen u poređenju sa predindustrijskim nivoima, emisija ugljen-dioksida mora biti na nuli do 2050. godine. Do 2030. nivo ispuštenog ugljen-dioksida treba da se smanji za 30-50%, dok emisije ostalih gasova staklene bašte moraju takođe biti značajno smanjene. Tranzicija ka zelenoj ekonomiji je ujedno i energetska tranzicija a tempo i obim ove tranzicije su bez presedana u istoriji: to mora da se desi u dvostruko kraćem vremenskom okviru nego što je bilo do sada, i to na globalnom nivou, smatra Ksenija Karić, direktorka kompanije Schneider Electric Srbija i Crna Gora.

– Glavno pitanje je kako se to realno može postići, i uprkos tome što imamo brojne scenarije koji bi trebalo da dovedu do tog cilja, zamaha još nema. Za vreme pandemije potražnja za energijom doživela je pad od 6%, zabeležen je i rekordan pad emisije ugljen-dioksida od skoro 8%. Ipak, 2021. godinu obeležiće veliki porast nivoa globalnih emisija, kako se ekonomija oporavlja od pandemije. Dakle, iako je bilo mnogo priče oko toga da je planeta počela da se oporavlja zbog zastoja privrede tokom ove skoro dve godine, ništa se značajno nije promenilo – upozorava Karić.

Kompanija Schneider Electric je veoma posvećena ciljevima održivosti i u skladu s tim, njen Schneider Electric TM Sustainability Research Institute izradio je istraživanje na temu redukcije emisija štetnih gasova i predstavio ga javnosti na samitu COP26.

– Zaključak istraživanja je jasan: najbolji način – da ne kažem jedini način da dođemo do nulte emisije do 2050. je brza modernizacija privrede, koja će se oslanjati na inovacije i promenu ponašanja. Uvek treba da imamo na umu da smo mi prva generacija koja je svesna situacije i jedina koja može da uradi nešto u vezi sa tim – kaže Ksenija Karić.

Potrebna nam je promena u svim sferama ekonomije

Kako bismo ostvarili taj, naizgled nedostižan cilj, potrebna je promena, sa fokusa na “infrastrukturu” na komplementarni fokus “potrošača”. To, naravno, ne znači da se više nećemo baviti infrastrukturom, već će ona biti dopunjena ključnim merama koje će omogućiti brzu i inkluzivnu dekarbonizaciju ekonomije na strani potrošača. Kako bi se to ostvarilo, potrebno je narušiti inerciju sadašnjeg sistema: sve što se sada gradi mora da bude osmišljeno u skladu sa ciljem iz 2050. Pored toga, potrebno je popraviti i modernizovati postojeće zgrade, saobraćaj, industrijske objekte i mašine, brže nego što bi inače evoluirale. I, konačno, neophodno je izgraditi energetsku kičmu dvadeset prvog veka, što znači proširenje i jačanje postojeće infrastrukture elektroenergetskog sistema, posebno mreža. Ovo će biti naročito kritična tačka za nove ekonomije koje će u celini definisati globalnu putanju ka nultim emisijama posle 2030.

– Da li je neko 1990. godine (pre 30 godina) mogao i da zamisli da će danas polovina globalnog stanovništva hodati ulicama koje imaju 100.000 puta veći računarski kapacitet od sistema za navođenje koji je spustio Apolo 11 na Mesec 1969. godine? Na osnovu te razmere mi danas treba da zamislimo šta da od napretka nauke i tehnologije očekujemo 2050. (30 godina kasnije)? Da, 2050. godine živećemo u drugom svetu – zaključuje Karić.

Do sada smo dosta govorili o našim velikim i ambicioznim ciljevima – da ćemo do 2025. naše poslovanje biti karbon neutralno, da ćemo do te godine umanjiti emisiju štetnih gasova 1.000 naših dobavljača za 50% koristeći naša EcoStruxure rešenja, a da ćemo do 2040. imati nultu emisiju ugljen-dioksida duž celog proizvodnog i dobavljačkog lanca. Ono o čemu do sada nismo mnogo pričali je i važna aktivnost kojom se kompanija bavi na globalnom nivou, a to je edukacija ljudi u vezi sa upravljanjem energijom. Sa istim ciljem, uveli smo i usluge konsaltinga na temu održivosti, uključujući i na naučnim osnovama utemeljene načine za smanjenje emisije CO2. Danas je, zahvaljujući velikim naporima, čak 72% naših prihoda zeleno, a tu uključujem i sve tehnologije koje se mogu razviti sa ciljem energetske efikasnosti i smanjenja emisije štetnih gasova.

Kako se svet brzo digitalizuje i postaje sve složeniji, a izazovi održivosti sve veći, organizacije sve više udružuju snage. U prvom ciklusu Našeg sela podrška je pružena meštanima Dubočana i Male Jasikove, u opštini Zaječar.

– U oba sela meštani-učesnici u projektu uspeli su da poboljšaju rezultate proizvodnje, da modernizuju zasade i farme. Na taj način žitelji oba naselja su ohrabreni za ostanak u svojim selima, a neki od odseljenih i za povratak na roditeljska imanja – navodi se.

Izbor dva nova sela je u toku i biće saopšten do kraja ove godine.

Delta Fondacija, kao prva korporativna fondacija na ovim prostorima, počela je da radi 2007. godine, objedinjujući dotadašnje pojedinačne aktivnosti članica Delta Holdinga i stavljajući poseban fokus na dugoročne i zadužbinarske akcije.

– Fondacija je do sada podigla tri zadužbine, realizovala je 3.980 akcija, u društvenu zajednicu uložila je 39,5 mil EUR, a pomoć je stigla do 755.636 žitelja Srbije. Kratki video “Prijatelji“, dostupan na YouTube kanalu, najbolje pokazuje kako smo organizujući akcije ne samo pružali konkretnu pomoć i podršku, već i kako su nastala prijateljstva, za koja verujemo da su – za ceo život – poručuju.
