On September 16th, we had the honor of hosting an informative workshop focused on applying the provisions of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between Serbia and Canada. This event was organized in collaboration with Unija Smart Accounting Srbija and CANSEE Canadian Serbian Business Association / CANSEE Kanadsko-srpsko poslovno udruženje, bringing together numerous participants interested in international business.
Ivana Janković, country manager at Unija Smart Accounting Srbija, opened the event with a comprehensive welcome address. In her remarks, Ivana outlined the wide range of services offered by Unija to our members, emphasizing the importance of expert support in today’s dynamic business environment.
Mirjana Doncic Beaton, Managing Director at CANSEE Canadian Serbian Business Association / CANSEE Kanadsko-srpsko poslovno udruženje, addressed the guests, expressing gratitude to the Unija Smart Accounting Srbija for their hospitality and successful collaboration.
Following their introductions, Dragana Ašić Ratkovac provided valuable insights into tax issues related to international transactions. Throughout her presentation, Dragana discussed key aspects of corporate income tax and the challenges businesses may face when engaging with partners in Canada. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice, further enriching the discussion.
