In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the LEADER Project Serbia, a special business networking reception titled “Business Networking Event for Future LEADERS” was held on May 7th, 2025, at the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade. The event brought together Canadian instructors from Ivey Business School, LEADER Project Serbia participants, CANSEE Board of Directors members, and representatives from partner organizations and sponsors.
The LEADER Project Serbia, sponsored by CANSEE and Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Embassy of Canada, continues to provide world-class business educational training and mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs in Serbia.
The reception was officially opened by David Morgan, Head of the Political Department and Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Canada to Serbia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. Mr. Morgan warmly welcomed guests, shared insights about the Embassy’s mission, and emphasized the importance of initiatives like the LEADER Project in strengthening international cooperation and economic development.
Following the opening remarks, Mirjana Dončić-Beaton, Managing Director of the CANSEE Canadian Serbian Business Association, addressed the audience. She expressed her pride in the program’s ten-year journey and thanked all stakeholders for their continued support. “It is an incredible milestone, and we are honored to celebrate it with those who have contributed to the project’s growth and impact,” said Dončić-Beaton.
The evening offered a relaxed atmosphere where guests enjoyed a curated selection of food and refreshments, along with opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and enjoy activities such as pool and table football.
