The international company cargo-partner has announced that it will open a new logistics center on 4,900 m2 at the VGP Park in Hamburg on October 1.

As stated, the new logistics center will spread on 4,900 m2 and be located 20 km to the southwest of Hamburg, featuring the possibility of expanding to 8,600 m2. The warehouse will have 12,000 pallet spaces and 600 m2 of the pick zone for picking out small articles, as well as more than 1,000 m2 of the block zone for storage.

The new logistics center in Hamburg will provide a wide range of services, including the commissioning per client request, as well as all other logistics services, cargo-partner says.

As explained, VGP Park Hamburg is located on the strategically useful section of the A1 highway, leading from Hamburg to Bremen. The location allows for great savings compared to the Port of Hamburg or the center of the city, and all the main traffic connections are easily available: A1 to Bremen, A7 to Hanover, A24 to Berlin, as well as A21 and A22, which lead to Travemunde and Rostock.

cargo-partner has five offices in Germany: Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Hamburg.

The company points out that the focus is currently on expanding the logistics capacities throughout the world. In October 2016, in line with the needs of a client which produces electronics in Shanghai, cargo-partner opened a customs warehouse, which takes up 3,700 m2. A logistics center with 14,000 m2 for car manufacturers opened in Clarksville, USA, in January, whereas the construction of an ecologically sustainable logistics center featuring innovative structure in its seat in Vienna opened on June 1, the press release adds.
