Mirjana Doncic Beaton, Managing Director of Canadian Serbian Business Association (CANSEE), together with Association’s members from the Exploration and Mining Industry Group, will visit PDAC (Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada), the largest international fair and convention in the field of mining, that will take place in Toronto from March 4-7, 2018. This year, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Stevica Dedjanski, State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia will attend the convention.
On Sunday, March 4, the presentation “Western Tethyan Belt: Emerging Copper and Gold Region” will be held, during which three members of CANSEE Association, Nevsun Resources, Mundoro Capital and Dundee Precious Metals will present their projects in Serbia and the region. The aim of the presentation is to highlight the Tethys as an emerging and highly attractive area for mineral projects. From high-grade development projects to high-tech operating projects, the region remains under explored yet rich with mineral potential, low cost profiles and local workforces skilled in both mining and construction. Hosted by Euromax Resources and Mundoro Capital, participating companies will provide updates on their prospects and projects in the region, with government panelists providing insight into local jurisdictions.
With the advent of modern exploration in Eastern Europe, Turkey and the former Soviet Union, the western Tethys has emerged as a province remarkably endowed with copper and gold, as well as lithium, borates, and nickel. The presentation, during which projects in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey, Armenia and Serbia will be presented, focuses on several of the most significant recent discoveries, development projects and new greenfield perspectives.
In addition to the visit to PDAC convention, CANSEE, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada to Serbia, the Embassy of Serbia to Canada, and under the auspices of Nevsun Resources, will organize Canadian Serbian Business Networking Cocktail with the goal of presenting Serbia as a good place for investing and improving business relationships between Canada and Serbia. The event will be held on March 4, and attended by HE Kati Csaba, Ambassador of Canada to Serbia, HE Mihailo Papazoglu, Ambassador of Serbia to Canada, representatives of Canadian and Serbian government, as well as numerous Canadian businessmen and Serbian diaspora.
