CANSEE organized Business Networking Cocktail on Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Toronto at the amazing Montecito Restaurant with the aim of gathering Canadian and Serbian business diaspora contacts, and expanding business opportunities in Canada during the leading voice of the mineral exploration and development community PDAC 2020 (The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada). The main objective was to encourage business cooperation and to promote trade and economic development between two friendly countries all with great support from CANSEE Members and the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade.

CANSEE Cocktail in Toronto was very successful and was attended by representatives of the Ministerial Delegation, led by the Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Antic and consisting of the State Secretary Mr. Stevica Dedjanski and Assistant Minister Ivan Jankovic, representatives of geological and mining companies from Serbia, as well as numerous representatives of Canadian companies who attended PDAC and had the opportunity to meet and exchange impressions with guests from other industrial sectors.

Ms. Mirjana Doncic-Beaton, CANSEE Managing Director, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to be a part of this renowned event which is simply a result of tremendous efforts of the Government of Serbia, Government of Canada and CANSEE.

The purpose of the event was to present Serbia as a good place to invest, strengthen and improve bilateral trade and economic relations, reinforce contacts, and make Canada and Serbia stronger economic partners. The guests had an opportunity to interact with Ms. Jutta Wark, Director of Nordic and Polar Relations department, of the Office of the Senior Arctic Official and Director General of Arctic, Eurasian and European Affairs of the Global Affairs Canada who presented short remarks to the esteemed guests.
