On Thursday, February 9th 2017, Regular General Assembly Session of CANSEE Canadian Serbian Business Association was held in the premises of the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade.
General Assembly session was opened by HE Philip Pinnington, Ambassador of Canada to Serbia, after which Mr. Aleksandar Obrenovic, President of CANSEE Board of Directors, and Mirjana Dončić – Beaton, executive director of the Association addressed to the audience.
The topic of the meeting were business operations of the CANSEE associations in 2016, presentation of the financial report for the past year as well as presentation of the events and activities planned for 2017. Year 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the formation of the Confederation, as on July 1st 1867 the Dominion of Canada was created. CANSEE Canadian-Serbian Business Association is planning to organize a large number of events which will honor the great anniversary.
In March, CANSEE will organize a Business Networking Event at the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Toronto in cooperation with Canadian government representatives and Serbian Embassy in Ottawa. The aim of this event is to promote Canadian investments in Serbia and Serbian – Canadian trade.
Also, CANSEE has a great honor to organize, second time in a row, the LEADER Project from May 8 – 19, in cooperation with University of Western Ontario. LEADER project, starting as of 1991, has simultaneously been held at various locations throughout the world. It is a ten-day intensive training, based on a specially developed MBA program of Richard Ivey School, one of the top ranked business schools in Canada.
General Assembly Session was followed by the lecture of Sinisa Ubović, motivational trainer, who presented various techniques that can help in personal development, both at the business and the private level.
