Ambassador of Canada H.E. Kati Csaba and CANSEE Canadian Serbian Business Association hosted another successful traditional Christmas reception at the Canadian Embassy’s residence on the 9th of December.

CANSEE traditional Christmas reception was attended by more than 100 distinguished guests, CANSEE members, partners and associates, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, Serbian political and economic leaders. CANSEE Christmas reception marked the end of another very successful year for CANSEE association.

H.E. Kati Csaba warmly welcomed all the present guests saying that she’s honored to be the ambassador of Canada to Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. The Ambassador stressed that she is very proud of activities and projects that CANSEE successfully completed in 2019 and that she is looking forward to further strengthening the economic development between Serbia and Canada.

Ms. Mirjana Dončić Beaton, CANSEE Managing Director, welcomed the guests and said that the year 2019 was very successful for CANSEE. She proudly announced that the successful cooperation with the prestigious Canadian Ivey School of Business of the University of Western Ontario will continue in 2020 and that Belgrade will host the 5th LEADER project from 4-15 May, 2019. She also proudly announced the upcoming, and second in a row, Serbian Ministerial delegation from the Ministry of Mining and Energy visit to PDAC 2020 in March – the world’s premier mineral exploration & mining convention. Ms. Dončić stressed that Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts and, in that spirit, CANSEE has decided to support a unique project Naše Selo by CANSEE valuable member Delta Holding. The Naše Selo project was initiated to develop agriculture and reconstruct villages in underdeveloped areas in Serbia. As a small gesture, in lieu of presents for each guest, CANSEE has donated equipment for physical education for the newly renovated school in Mala Jasikova in the municipality of Zaječar. This humble donation was not just a present from CANSEE but a present from all of the guests to those kids in need.

We would like to kindly thank the Embassy of Canada, and the esteemed Ambassador, all our guests, members, partners and friends that have come and celebrated our success with us.
